I just don't understand it, it's basically asking why do we create innovative inventions, ideas are very important.

I've never found drawing or painting to really stimulate any creative thoughts in me, but writing creatively is VERY important. For some people, creative inspiration doesn't come from "art" but it does for enough people that it should still remain mandatory. I don't really entirely understand it either, Mogul'Khan, General of the Red Mist.

This is what I came up with and posted.

I believe it's required, creativity is what helps us evolve with innovative ideas but I believe it's harsh to grade people based upon it, some people have it and others don't it's as simple as that.

In exams over here we weren't graded based on how creative we were but the structure in how we wrote the story we created, in school conditions it's measuring how well you can write your own piece of work rather than analyzing and dissecting someone elses work along with your vocabulary and use of grammar.

And is this discussing the 'forced to be creative thread'? I'm of two minds. I never appreciated the Arts in school. Art, Drama and Music were all lost on me. Creative writing in English was OK, but that was because you always got to read everyone else's. And if there is one thing I love more than anything, it's reading. But then I recognise not everyone is similarly minded to me, and it certainly encouraged me to do things I might not necessarily enjoy, but still find some talent in it. For me it was sculpting. :3
