Draenei are clearly a mix of Russian and Arabian.
Night Elves are the only ones who comes even remotes close to anything Greek, it's mostly just the ancient Night Elves who are based on Greek.
Forsaken are based on nazis, Garrosh is based on Stalin.

I've certainly been aware of this for a while .

The thing is that big noses and love of money is just a general stereotype of greed, it doesn't have to be applied to Jews. The things is that because of the last couple centuries, this stereotype of greed has been mixed with the Jewish one, because a lot of Jews simply migrated to major capitalist countries and actually tried their hardest to make a living, and for the most part they succeeded and this caused a lot of resentment.

TBH I feel it's just people trying to apply a real world stereotype to those in a game.

FYI, because someone mentioned it in this thread, Judaism is a religion yes, but Jewish people are also a separate ethnic group with distinctive physical features. Again, not being racist, that's just how it is.

That said, they certainly conform to the Jewish stereotype (something important to bear in mind), as well as having incorporated various aspects of the Italian/Italian-American mobsters and a grossly exaggerated sense of greed and selfishness. They're walking, talking caricatures with no personalities/characters of their own.

Now, I'm not american, but I don't think they are stereotypes of jews. The Stereotype Jew works together with other jews, and goblins don't have any sort of racial connection with each other. Rather, I think they are a "gangster race".

In all fairness I have to say that I agree with user Waaldo. Goblins sort of always had this greedy buggers vibe about them. Even before Blizzard. Also, they don't fit the Jewish stereotype all that well to be that closely associated. The WoW Goblins are just plain dirty, dangerous and explosion maniacs. Never thought of any Jewish person that way. The greed for money? Jewish stereotype seemed to be that they are good at making it, but because they are very practical, unlike WoW Goblins who will just curbstomp you and openly steal and lie. Long nose? That's just nitpicking.

If anything, some mobster is better fit for Goblins.
