For me most of the good comic book movies have actually came out recently, I just didnt think there were that many that were good before now. Haven't seen the Dark Knight Rises yet so it obviously wouldn't be fair to put it on the list as of now.

I won't contribute with a list but I can recommend Unbreakable, the only M. Shyamalan movie I really liked, to pretty much anyone who enjoys comics (and even for those who don't, actually). Not based on one like Spiderman or The Avengers but comic books are its core, and although it's received quite a fair bit of hate, I think it's great - the direction, the characters (and the actors' performances), the dialogue and how lines are delivered, etc.

Imo the rest aren't even worth speaking about imo. I haven't seen the Avengers yet, but I hated every prequel superhero movie except for Iron Man and a bit of Iron Man 2.
Once I go see The Dark Knight Rises, I'm quite sure it takes place 1 or 2.

The Crow is still the best super hero movie I've ever seen so far.

not gonna take the time to put my favs in order, but Avengers would be at the top. It would contain some of the ones mentioned already, but also Ghostworld, 300, Constantine (a lot of people didn't like it, but I did), Kickass, RED, Spawn and of course Howard the Duck

If they didn't take so many liberties with Hellraiser (Constantine) maybe I would like it more. John Constantine is a occultist in London, not a catholic in LA. But it was still good.



I wish they would make Dawn Lucifer's halo/Return of the Goddess/3 Tiers into a movie. Along with the Return to Wonderland series (actually I think they are doing that one, or it has at least been considered).

I think Watchmen, Avengers, and Dark Knight would be my top three. But Scott Pilgrim, and V for Vendetta are close to that, too. Also it's Watchmen, not The Watchmen

Edit: FUCK, I forgot Captain America. Derp, I'd rate that just under Iron Man. So just bump everything after that down 1.
