Y.O.L.O. - 'You Only Live Once', is a phrase made popular by rappers Drake, Tyga and Lil Wayne in the song 'The Motto'. It is now widely used by youth before they engage in activity of a questionable nature. In essence, it advocates that because you only live once, you should ignore the consequences of your actions and do whatever you feel like. Youth often proclaim YOLO! before engaging in such activity.
Post anything you plan to do that's self-destructive or that's really not a good idea, or anything that you otherwise would not do in this thread. Make sure to include the term YOLO in your post to absolve yourself of responsibility!

Yolo is an acronym for the phrase “you only live once”, not a phrase itself.
It wasn't 'made popular' by half-talent showboat rappers, merely adopted and molded into a trend to force down the throats of the youth and endorse a 'leap before you look' philosophy.
Credit to its popularity should actually be given to Adam Mesh being that he is the earliest person known to use the saying and launched the YOLO clothing line on March 20th, 2004. Many others jumped the wagon after that while embracing the true meaning behind it, that being to 'live life to the fullest' and even going so far as to display that in similar campaigns.
Y u only no YOLO from arrogant braggart rappers? And also...
