Character Names - Server-wide or Game-wide?

As the title says, has ArenaNet said whether a name will be taken for only the server you select, or will it be taken for all of them? Considering if you transfer servers, you're forced to take all of your characters with you, so it would really suck to have to rename every single one.

I wondered too, maybe its something like on the forums, some kind of number attatched to your name ( that you cant see ) allowing people to have similair names
but still not confusing

The names are server wide , in other words if i name my character Mr. eddie, you wount be able to make a character with that name even if you´re on another server.

Game-wide. But you can have multiple word names with spaces.

And 19 characters max with spaces...minimum is 3.
