NEVER go kennen against Yorick. Along with LeeSin, Yorick is the hardest counter to kennen...

Irelia is really good. At lvl 5 you can easily jump him because he can´t trade with your true damage. Disengage through the brushes, repeat until he is low or OOM and then go in for the kill.

You farm at tower easily since you are irelia, and you can activate your W to heal off minions.

Rumble and Irelia both do realy well and completely outscale Yorick,

sustain through the early harrass with potions/health regen quints/(shield spam in rumbles case) Once you have levels you can just CS even with him and wait for the Yorick to go oom trying to harrass then you then permenately push lane to stop him backing without losing 1-2 creep waves and getting behind.

Alternatively Chogath can just last hit each ghoul and heal off them with his passive, and just push lane on Yorick all day with W and E. Trundle doesnt do aswel as chogath but his passive healps early then once you get some lifesteal you can become and immovable object for yorick.

Warwick works pretty well aswel, Riven aswel can easily lane against yorick with a few early points inhis E shield to remove alot of yorick harrass.

Biggest thing is when Yorick comes back into lane after buying you want to force alot of trades straight away and burn as much of his mana as possible. Obviously you need potions to spare to match the harrass you'll take doing this but when hes oom hes like a wet fix in aiding jungle ganks so you can easily push on him all day without a huge risk of dieing to a gank.

One that hasn't been mentioned that can work well is Malphite. Yorick looses trades to Malphite early pretty hard. Malphites poke is fantastic against a lvl 1/2/3 Yorick. Using brush as mentioned earlier is key for getting mals shield back up, and for dodging ghouls. Play smart, skill up mal to counter whatever yorick buys, and you win lane as well as being a game changer even with minimal farm.

Cho every time. After a few levels you can just completely ignore him and farm away. Pretty easy to kill him at 6 also.

Xin, you can burst him down early and can just eat his ghouls if you rush wriggles.

It's not that bad. First items are double doran's blade and maxing W first for AA harass pre-tear. That should give you enough leeway to farm your way through the game because you bring more to teamfights than Yorick ever will.

OR Rush Hextech and farm like a boss. This way you won't set Yorick behind and are a little more dependent on your teammates winning their lanes, but it's a little safer. Also, SpellVamp Quints.

That passive heals trundle for ~5 hp each time a ghoul dies, so no it's not that which makes trundle ok against him.

More than ~5hp. Additionally, it also heals him every time an enemy minion dies. Whether he kills it or not.

One does not simply counter Yorick. *Boromir Face*
But seriously it is almost impossible to beat a Yorick that knows what he's doing without jungle pressure, there are champions that survive better, but no one actually "counters" Yorick.

Well I checked it out and during the latter part of the laning one ghoul heals trundle for ~10-15 hp so it isn't really that much. And the minions heal for 5-10 hp or something like that so it isn't really that good.

Don't forget that minion wave adds a lot of health as well. On top of the lifestealing he does.

Yorick can easily ward and keep you pushed on your tower though. And since his ghouls block Q, it can be very hard to land a stun, especially pre-6.

My point was, there are MANY better picks than kennen against yorick.

Got ganked today at lvl 3, and killed the jungle. Blue on Yorick is so insane. Was able to completely zone the enemy Singed from getting any CS at all. He had like 51 at 25 minutes and that's only because I teleported bottom for a counter gank. Champion is so broken for laning.

    Executioner's Calling
+18% Life Steal +15% Critical Strike Chance UNIQUE Passive: Your basic attacks apply a mark to the target that deals 4 bonus magic damage each second for 8 seconds. UNIQUE Active: Inflicts target enemy champion with Grievous Wound, causing 50% reduced healing and regeneration for 8 seconds (20 second cooldown).
this nulify's his almost crazy sustain, not very non or used item, but it can really crush champs like him and warwick

Note: this must be a committed fight if u use this or one where you force him to run so its best to use it in the middle or beginning middle of a fight between you and him

Constantly push him (garen, rene, morde) and be aware of ganks. If you can't push, then ask jungler to babysit you.
About Executioner's Calling: Worthless item IMO, they should make it do stackable damage instead of just 4, or make it scale with levels bot up its cost.
Lifesteal is not a main thing that makes yorick so hard to kill. His passive is. He can get up to 20% damage reduction before armor/MRes, it makes him realy hard to kill with burst damage

The best picks against him are Trundle, because of his passive(when something dies near you you get a % of hp and mana) and Cho'gath also because of his passive, which gives you certain mana and hp for each time you kill something. It's not exactly like you're going to win the lane but it means you get to farm and poke him really well compared to other champions. But skill also affects this ofc

Vladimir. You won't kick his ass, cuz he has very consistent sustain aswell, but its a safe pick.

No mana, unfortunately. Sadly, that's just Cho'gath.
