The Reason Guild wars is Down

Guild wars hosts its office in Seattle Wa.

The Reason its down is a network router a big one is down in that state.

And another over in Delaware.

There is one down in Germany and they only have 5 servers running right now.

Does anyone know anymore about this ive been pinging servers all over na.

Anything remotely near arenanet is down.

Yes, The routers sry my bad there, they seem to be in calls with the providers they noticed some slow down, and then the shut down came about an hour later.

The routers in seatle vary in spikes from 63ms ping to 200, the slower ones are closer to the office for arenanet.
And they should have more than 4 so something is up.

Thanks for this, but we all probably knew there was some problems, but it doesn't help us at all now :'(

And they should have more than 4 so something is up.

They could have exceeded some ISP traffic thresholds that caused blocked, limited or rerouted traffic. I'd love to see the Level 3 bandwidth reports for when they enabled logon for the servers.

I wish people would open their eyes and realize gw1 is down as well so it's most likely not on their end. It is very unlikely they would screw up that bad to crash both games. Last time this happen it was their providers fault to the issue and could be any number of things.

I know you guys are excited and in some cases pretty frustrated, but do we really require another dozen threads? MMO champions recent feed is literally filled with GW2 issues; most of which are simply asking the same thing 5 different ways.

I kind of find the add ironic its for amd based server data centers.

There was a site i used called guild wars 2 status which is also down i cant load it even a cached page.
But its not even official.

But it's odd that the ISPs are the ones having problems. Never had that in the other big MMO launches I witnessed.

more likely high stress from the people trying to log on
some of which are crying on facebook for their money back

Thats cool bor no disrespect taken, but what were doing is theory on why or how and not blame games like other threads, and its a big hit game so the threads will reflect that its not just a wow site or blizz site.
