$8 "Pixxo" cheapie that I have as a backup until my Microsoft Ergo gets back to me in the mail. I snapped a key switch off trying to fish a penny out of it (don't even ask).

A Logitech PS2 multimedia keyboard, had it for years. Doesn't matter though, as I dont do all those things on 1 hand, I have a mouse to do half.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

Lol, that's pretty bad. I never have any issues in WoW though, but for some reason I get problems in GW2 and it's fucking annoying. I can't use a skill with SHIFT+2 while walking (QWE), though I would very much like to do that. Is this because of the game, or should I download some software to counteract this? I have a feeling it's a problem on the games side, because with non-AOE skills, it works (I believe). I'm just 100% sure it didn't work on my Mesmer's Blink (which is AOE). Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

My keyboard is some cheap, standart, multimedia USB keyboard by HP.

Looks like having a numpad that switches sides has cost me a "T" and a "C".... looking some some pretty good results from the "cheaper" keyboards versus the more expensive ones like the Razer Blackwidow... Funny how Razer lost out because they didn't have dedicated media keys on my part. Now I find out that they aren't even as good in other areas too... Well that's just a bonus!

Microsoft Sidewinder x4. Love the keyboard, had logitech and saitek before it. Saitek / key broke entirely, and logitech experienced serious delay + tough keypress (It was bluetooth).

It's like saying there's a rattle in a car but only over 80mph. If your response is "Well, I never drive more than 75, I never hear a rattle", that's not saying you're a worse (or better) driver, or that there's no rattle. Just that you've never driven fast enough to notice it.
I hate to go more OT on this but...

Really? Because your post flat out states that I am just not "good" enough to recognize that I might have a hardware problem - but you are. It spells out word for word that I don't know what I'm talking about and that does irk me a bit.

I'm not saying that keyboard ghosting is not a real issue for some combinations of keyboards, people and games. My original point was and still is two things:

    1. It is almost impossible to find a modern keyboard that generates ghosting issues in even the most extreme game play scenarios.

    and

    2. Because of how keyboards are designed, trying to type with both shift buttons held down is a meaningless test that is more designed to "break" keyboards than to actually test their capabilities.

If anyone wants to ACTUALLY test their keyboard for these issues then you should visit this page and try any key combination you can imagine you would use:

    http://www.microsoft.com/appliedscie...stingDemo.aspx

If you believe either of my points are invalid, it would need a better argument than "maybe you're just not serious enough in your gaming".
