Well ive been sitting at 0% for 30 minutes, it looks as if it hasnt even begun to download yet, "Reconfiguring game files. Please wait" is what it is saying. 30 minutes seems a bit too long for it to start, maybe i can change something in my settings? Originally Posted by Venteus

Been sitting at 0% for 30 min, looks as if it hasnt even begun to start downloading. Is there some setting i can change to allow this download to start?

This is actually surprising... blizzard has been doing a really good job with patches lately and getting them out on time (Compared to the 8pm debacles of yesteryear). I'll be even more surprised if it gets pushed back farther than 1pm.

Besides people getting stuck on the optimization process, there are also plenty more that can't even get past the "Downloading tools..." process. There hasn't been any resolution to these issues (with maybe some exceptions), so there's definitely going to be another extension of maintenance.

For everyone worried about the optimization being stuck, try giving it some time. Mine was at 1% for 45 minutes then it jumped to complete and started downloading the remaining 2 or 300 megs for the patch. Yes, some people it will take longer, some shorter. But just open your resource monitor and verify you see atleast one "Agent.exe" process running, that lets you know its indeed doing something and the % displayed is probably just lagged or something.

Yeah mine was stuck at 0% for 30 mins and then zipped to completion. No worries
Also, maintenance is extended to 2 pm PDT now as per Blizz forums

Was hoping I could play just a wee bit before my 2 hour night class.
Its hard to imagine that a team of peeps have been working on servers for 12 hours straight. That is crazy lol.

Hmmm another hour. Why not just say WoW is down and not give a set time when it should be back up. Just say its back up when you have fixed everything?

If you are sitting at 0%, close the program. Right-click the WoW icon on your desktop and Run as Administrator. It still takes a little while after that (~10-20 min) to get to 1%. After that though, you know it's working, and when it gets so far it will begin zipping through.
WoW servers are down because they are all busy playing GW2.

I've just arrived from work. Time to get a shower, eat something and watch some tv. Optimization takes a while.
PS: Blizz should add some wow-themed mini-games on downloads/optimizations.
