I must be honest, I don't varnish anything. But you need to give painted metal a wash, elsewise it just looks... eh....
Yeah but varnishing gives natural looking light highlights. Thats why I mentioned it
Edit: totally changed my avatar and it is now 100% more awesome

Sooooo... What's everyone been working on.
Very little, sadly, I'm busy with a fair few school assignments and they're getting in the way. I have 5 termies, 10 CSM, 5 raptors, 10 bloodletters and a herald of khorne to paint. Going for a demon army as well.
Finishing touches on a squad of Night Lords, after that I'm not sure whether to work on the next squad or a rhino or perhaps the maulerfiend I have sitting there.
Hey guys while since I posted here, been really busy lately looking for work after I unfortunately lost my job a month ago, going to be finishing off my necrons as soon as possible, nothing special just tabletop standard, however I'll post results here when the whole army is done
Damn sorry for the job O.o
And honestly, most people here are at tabletop standard... If not less for me XD. No need to make excuses about painting

I was looking at the past Golden Demon winners and someone at Games-Workshop has a massive erection for Space Wolves... I swear half the winners are from SW alone...
Was debating whether to order the forgeworld rhino doors so I didn't have to try freehanding the winged skull, but think I'll give it a shot. The maulerfiend is in its major components now too, thinking an airbrush may come in handy for that though.
Love the "SINDRI!!!" thrown in at the end of that clip. Must have been fun for Scott McNeil to sit there and argue with himself as both Sindri and Lord Bale. :P

After seeing this video I have looked up metal boxes. Here are the results:

Currently making custom shoulderpads for my chaos marines by more or less making them stretched faces similar to the ones on the emperor's children's armor(because why not) with greenstuff... They don't really require skill, so they're turning out quite decent.(got 5 termies, 10 CSM's and 5 raptors to paint still) but been busy with school to paint... Also, all next week I'll be in bloody Rwanda, who knew... Once I'm home, I'll paint some figures and post some pics!
Stuck on deciding a scheme for my necron ghost ark.
My necron units are a bone coloured theme, with green as a secondary colour, here's pic, I posted it a while back in this thread but so you don't have to scroll back
As you can see the main colour is bone with Dark green for the secondary, however I don't know what primary colour to do my ghost ark, it's a big vehicle and it has necron warriors inside it that you can see, so I'm thinking it will be too much bone if I do the whole thing and the necrons inside in bone.
I was thinking possible doing it mostly green with the necrons inside being bone, not sure yet, any suggestions?
