    PvP Power and PvP-Resillience

    Hey people,

I'd like to know how the final-damage is calculated with these new stats.

Lets say player A is attacking player B. Player A has deals 100 Dmg and has 30% PvP-Power. Player B has 50% PvP-Resillience.

    1. Final-Damage= Dmg * (1 - (PvP-Resilllience/100 - PvP-Power/100) = 100 * (1 -(0.5 - 0.3)) = 80 Damage

    2. Final-Damage= (Dmg * (1 + (PvP-Power/100))) * PvP-Resillience/100 = (100 * (1 + 0.3))) * 0.5 = 65 Damage

Okay, firstly the formula confuses me. Not that is it wrong. I just don't understand it. Could you be so kind and tell me how you've produced the formula?

Actually, no I get it...I'm just being silly. Better question; How do you know its that formula?

I don't think he KNOWS, he's just trying to figure out in which order the power/resilience are used.. as there is only so many ways.

    OT: I have no idea.

I dont know the formula , i want to know the real formula. The two formulas were the only possibilities i could think of , so i posted them ...

The attacking player's outgoing damage is increased from 100 to 130, that 130 is then mitigated by the receiving player down to 65.

The formula to calculate total displayed damage reduction from resilience is DR = [100-(100*[0.99^(Resil Rating/310)])]+40 and it would take 3250 PVP Resilience rating to get you the 50% damage reduction you described.

The formula to calculate total displayed damage increase from PVP Power is DI = (pvp power rating)*0.003774 and it would take 7950 PVP Power rating to get you the 30% damage increase you described.

So, if we assume this theoretical swing would do 100 damage before any of the PVP stats are factored in then the total damage done calculation would look like this:
    Dmg Done = 100*((100+(7950*0.003774))/100) = 130
    Dmg Received = 130*((100-((100-(100*(0.99^(3250/310))))+40))/100) = 65
    Total Calculation = (100*((100+(7950*0.003774))/100))*((100-((100-(100*(0.99^(3250/310))))+40))/100) = 65

If you really want to know more about all of this I am posting my updated PVP stat guide this weekend that explains everything in detail and includes a lot of useful graphs.

There will be a copy of it on my blog (the link in my signature) but it will also be posted as an update to the "How Resilience Scales" sticky at the top of this forum.
