    Looking for offline PC games

    Hi all

I am moving to a new place on Monday and looking for some recommendations. I mainly like puzzle games, such as portal/goo etc, (and if anyone know a good R-Type game, i'd appreciate it)

I will have zero internets for 31 days So suggest away.

PS before anyone says "go outside, read a book, etc", I have plenty of things to do away from PC, looking for stuff to do on it.

Well it's either that, or porn (not looking for porn suggestions BTW)

There is a bunch of great ones
Torchlight 2 is brand new, cheap and amazing.
Faster than light is available on steam, and will work offline.
There is a brand new humble bundle that came out with a bunch of single player games that you could use offline.
As far as R-Type games.. have you heard of Touhou project? It practically spawned the bullet hell genre, and is amazingly fun. It's in japanese, however there is translations available.
Gog.com has plenty of DRM free older games cheap that will keep you busy for days.
And I'm sure plenty of people will recommend Skyrim!
You could go old school and get emulators for old games you own from SNES and such.
If you played Half life 2 at all, you can currently download the Black Mesa mod, which recreates Half Life one in all its glory with the new engine. Highly recommended.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but I have to go to work :P
    Have fun and good luck!

If you like point-and-click adventure games, the Syberia bundle is 75% off on Steam on the daily deal. Both Syberia and Syberia 2 are great adventure games, I'd rate it up there among the bigshots like Monkey Island and The Longest Journey (let's pretend Dreamfall never happened).

Darksiders 2 has some pretty interesting puzzle applications.

Dragon Age: Origins (and Awakening and Dragon Age 2) as well as the Mass Effect series, I'd recommend to anyone. They're strictly RPG's, but feature fantastic game play and have insane replay value. I've played them dozens of times each.
