The fact that they are relegated to their "own" debate, rather than taking part in the only one anyone watches at all, pinpoints the problem. They aren't taken seriously, by anyone. Half of them aren't even taken seriously by themselves.

I agree it's a problem, but the US probably couldn't get out of the two party rut in the next decade unless there was some incredible countrywide revolution. Too many news sites trivialize anything other parties do.

Based on what I've seen the "first party" debates are also somewhat rigged too since they have certain things they aren't allowed to talk about or actually must talk about even if the situation isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Going off of the information John Green presented at www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ugDU2qNcyg, the national debt really isn't that big of a problem for us for example.

I love talking about politics and economy with my IRL acquaintances(my country's politics and economy is much more simple since we're small, even though the situation is more than complicated). But yeah, over the Internet it doesn't sound as friendly and is much more difficult to discuss, even though I usually have a much easier time getting my point across over the Internet, it's not the case with politics. I'm sorry.

More often than not the sequels turn out better if they were planned from the start. It always feels awkward when the stories are tied up nicely, then you yank all the characters back together for no real reason.

This, although supposedly George Lucas did plan on the prequels as he worked on the original Star Wars trilogy, but I think we can all agree he screwed up a bit with at least 2 and 3.

I kinda predicted something like that would happen because everyone was telling me things like "the show is going to become much darker from episode 3 onward".
But some other things in the show really just shocked me, I didn't expect them at all.
