I find it very difficult to compare post WW2 to anything modern. After WW2 you had a huge boom in automobiles, and because of that a huge effort to build roads and such to drive those cars on.

Now days... aside from tech there isn't much aside from repairing whats already there. I'd go as far to saying that tech has plateaued. Its hard to find work in those areas. I think the next big job boom will be re-doing this country's public utilities such as power and sewer.

Tech hasn't plateaued as much as you would think, though you are right on post-WWII being big on automobiles and roads. The real boost, though, came from the same thing that caused the early 2000's boost, excessive "patriotic" buying.

Yeah, just look, definitely female. She was shown in the show as male, but the art on all of the pictures I've seen is definitely feminine.

yeah I guess you're right. Looking at the legs, no man has legs that skinny. And the breast-plate is perfect to support the bust of a woman. Also, long red hair . . . most of the time when men are drawing with hair that long, it isn't red.

I think thats looking to make a comeback. The big key in that is people having faith in the American automakers. Which is happening, but at a very slow rate.

But people are impatient now days. They don't realize it took us roughly 15 years to get out of the great depression. Edit- actually probably more. Too lazy to go look it up.

Puerto Rican's passed a referendum for statehood. The ball is in the court of Congress on whether to admit them at this point.

Why not? What would be the negatives to having them as a state versus the positives?
