Elesh Norn was the head of the movement to bring Phyrexia back into power. The rise was based on corrupted translations of Phyrexian religious texts. These "New Phyrexians" came to believe that flesh was the source of all weakness, and attempted to rid themselves of that weakness. Powerful white magic sustained them through the process, though many died, and few went as far as the Praetor.

Bed if you need it, but what do you think of a Red/Black Vampire deck from Innistrad seeded with a few Rakdos cards? I just threw one together and it looks...evil.

Magic lore is all over the place. It's rough getting cohesive info sometimes. The overall arch of it is pretty cool though.

The "all will be one" line comes from the Phyrexian desire to forcibly convert the entire rest of the world.

Doesn't seem to synergize well (yes Firefox, it's not a word but I'm making it one). Given Innistrad's vampires were all about getting counters, and Rakdos....well, Rakdos does lots of stuff. Actually, I don't know too much about the new set, outside of browsing the cards and pretending I can afford some.

I think it could be a problem if you try to do too many things with a deck.

Well, each set released a novel back in the day. As recent as Ravnica, they were doing it. But, nowadays, they don't so I don't know. The lore is freaking insane, in that there is so much of it. I don't think it's possible to know it all. And it's hard to do so if you're just into the card game.

I've always been a big fan of Multani (nature stuff in fantasy, always, for me). But his card blows, and I stand by that.

Haven't pulled a Demigod of Revenge, and haven't pulled any other real Rakdos cards.

And no, unfortunately it wouldn't, as it's not combat damage. I don't think. I'd have to look up that ruling.

The main thing the Charm offers is Artifact control against certain decks and Graveyard Control against Golgari. Graveyard wipes can slow down a Golgari deck a lot.
