The only prevalent creature features in Red are haste and boost, and neither is prevalent enough to really make them the go-to for creatures. Red needs something like Undying, trample, lifelink, phasing, or hexproof to make them more than "the flamethrower."

Even haste hasn't been very prevalent lately and green has been getting it more, even though green is secondary to get it. Trample could be more prevalent and first strike. Flying could show up a little bit more in Red as well for non-dragons..

I've seen more first strike in White than Red lately, and there's been a dearth of flying in Red. Just a handful of dragons.

Red has temporary mana acceleration like Seething Song and Georsurge. When my friend is pulling a 12/12 dragon on turn two, I don't think red has mana issues.

White is always the first to receive first strike, which is why it shows up more there, then I think Red is secondary, and black is tertiary, although don't quote me on the tertiary.

Flying could show up in green a little bit, only because there are creatures that live in the woods and forests that actually fly, but for some reason Birds of Paradise and creatures from old are only allowed to do that now.

I guess that is true. Phoenixes are another red creature that could use better cards, and maybe replace dragons for a while.
