Help picking a ranged class for strictly wvw

So I've been trying to decide on a class to level as an alt that is primarily ranged that would be good for wvw want something that has a good amount of group utility/support have tried necro, mesmer, and ranger in spvp and like all of them and am having a hard time deciding figured I'd ask and see what peoples opinions on those class in wvw are. Am open to other options but ones listed are what I've tried also play a thief as a main if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
