"Did you play in Vanilla?" "Yes/no" Its not that hard.
People who played in vanilla are those who don't want vanilla servers back.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
Trolling should be.
I played in Vanilla and probably have never done any of these things. Only played for a few weeks and have a lvl 22 NE hunter. She has Aspect of the Cheetah turned on even though she hasn't learned it yet officially One of the perks of being a hunter, faster running
I wish there was some form of armoury stat that showed when the account was made then you could prove it even quicker!
That and looking for old pvp titles but not everyone pvp'd
i don't know if it was said, because i didn't browse all the pages, but do you remember how easy was to get reputation with the BG factions? since you got 3 tokens for victory
I honestly thought I'd never get the epic mount (played as a balance druid and had to pay 50g to respec to resto for every raid - yeah, Vanilla was THAT fun!)
Then my gf and I managed to both get them in a few hours by farming those eye of shadow (or whatever they were) components for the Priest epic questline in Winterspring.
On-topic though, you played vanilla if you remember going on a Druid/Rogue LBRS stealth run. For those that didn't: You could basically stealth between all the bosses.
I think 90% of the people with the UBRS key were druids or rogues!

I played Vanilla and I want Legacy Vanilla and TBC servers.
Not only that, but I am not playing MoP at all as it isn't Warcraft (I only managed to suffer Kung Fu Pandas & Pokemon for two months) and I have quit now for about 7 months.
My Vanilla PvP Rank feat of strength here:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...achievement#81
Lieutenant Commander
Earned the title, "Lieutenant Commander"
So, you were sayin'?
Veteran vanilla player - I was 31 back in 2005 when I started playing WoW - Nostalrius raider with a top raid guild.
Obviously feat of strenghts are a good indication to check when people started playing :P
I think any kind of old pvp title (r1-r14) should show this.
Ofcourse theres ppl who didn't pvp back in vanilla or rerolled chars / accounts.
But getting Scout in vanilla basicly required you to do 1 battleground so...
or stuff like this: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...vement#81:a436
I've played since a few weeks after Classic release. I don't want Vanilla back!
It is ok though I know you were merely pointing out that not everyone in Vanilla hated it and would love it to return. I must say the "kung fu panda and pokemon" stuff actually are quite fun for me :P
...if you remember the 1 minute polymorph on players before it was fixed.
...having to buff every single player manually because you didnt have gift of the wild.'
...5 minute pala blessings, and then finally getting the 15 minutes ones (big deal!)
...paladin = alliance.
...shaman = horde.
...priest racials - devouring plaque only UD, fear ward only dwarf etc.
...only warriors could tank
...the IF bridge was the meeting spot for trades
...only the cool guys were on top of Org bank
...talents didn't really matter that much. You could easily heal a dungeon as boomkin spec
This is a Feral Druid tanking Garr (Molten Core).

I thought you said only Warriors could tank, huh? Just because YOU failed, it didn't mean others failed as well. I am just not going to bother posting any longer on this thread, as I can't stand the BS and the lies posted about Vanilla by clueless people.

I played in Vanilla etc and I would not want Vanilla back either. But I would love to have a TBC server without any nerfs.

Oh really? I tanked Onyxia in Vanilla - server 1st at that. It's not that it was impossible, it was not "the best class" to do the job.
Wanna know if someone played Vanilla? Ask them. If they say yes then they did, if they say no then they didn't.
What is with everyone's obsession over when people played the game?
Druid tanks were a very very small minority. Most guilds who did raiding didn't let druids do anything other than heal. Warriors were the best tank and the only real viable one (some times a druid got to tank but it was bloody rare)
Its hardly a lie when it was the community and the developers who put a lot of restrictions on what you could do effectively. I know the raiding guild I was in we never let a druid tank as they were just not that good compared to warriors. I think on patchwerk a druid tank was used as they stacked hp and were there to soak the damage that was about it I think for us.
... if you ever ran a dungeon with a shaman tanking because your warriors wouldn't tank due to absurd repair costs.
... if you ever made the Darnassus to Ironforge run.
... if you were ever comped free time on your account because your server was down for days at a time.
... if you knew exactly who not to invite to a group on your server, because their ninja looting was common knowledge.
... if you remember having to skin the dragonkin and drakes before the opposing faction did.
... if you remember the race to the world dragons every week and the hours of griefing that followed.
... if you remember everyone crowding around the person who got the server first Thunderfury/Ashkandi/Jin'rohk/tier shoulders or helm etc, in your capital city, asking where they got it.
... if you remember standing in your capital city showing off your new raid gear.
... if you had a list of people you wanted to kill in pvp and knew exactly what time to queue to find them.
Lets just settle this,
You know you played Vanilla if shaman were horde and Paladins were alliance.
good old times
you could fights naked as a rogue and still deal good damage
stuns where your domain and not free4all
dr timer didnt exist
nowadays its gone all to shit
