Does this phrase drive anyone else nuts when commentators use it? A team isn't forced to punt, they elect to punt. Frequently, they do so even when it's a demonstrably bad idea, because of the generally risk averse nature of people and management generally. I feel like commentators just tacitly agreeing that coaches have no choice helps reinforce this bad decision making.

Taking responsibility is good, but it is meaningless if you just repeat it over and over at every press conference.
