From this season, I can suggest Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. Most Shoujo or Josei feature believable females, like Tsukimi from Kuragehime as suggested at first page.

Rose from Fullmetal Alchemist. She reminds me a lot of a gal I used to (and still do in a way) have a crush on. The only difference, besides the hair, is the rl version has a touch more weight on her.

Shes pretty normal overall. Tomboyish, clever, etc. And no, she is not a murderer, thats her sister.

Most of the female characters from Genshiken. Except Saki.
Sakura fits the other stereotype of the über strong, kind of typical man, whose tough and brash.

I'd probably go with either most of the female characters for any Miyazaki films or Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran High School Host club.
Haruhi is supposed to be the normal in the craziness that is the host club so I feel like that is almost cheating.

Fate Stay Night - Rin Tohsaka. Best anime female character, the closest to normal.
Also some Bleach females, and of course, all females from Monster.
