Frost Bomb and Nether Tempest sound bugging?

Hi, I have this weird problem where quite often, when using either Frost Bomb or Nether Tempest, the sound from those spells bugs and plays in an infinite loop (sounds pretty much like you are continuously casting Refreshment Table). The effect temporarily stops if I start to change my sound settings (like checking headphone mode in and out etc), but none of the settings that I change remove the problem permanently - it just glitches out again after several applications of said mage bombs.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and if yes, is there a fix to this?
