Quick question

Can you do arenas with a player that is on another server that also belongs to another battlegroup?

I haven't tested it, but for example i tried inviting my brother who is in another BG, and the inv window says that if he accepts the inv, he may be transfered to another server. What does this mean? Does he actually get transfered or day or just for the duration of that particular play sessions? And would this apply to arena?

Im assuming the answer is rather obvious or the info is easily accessible somewhere, considering the lack of replies.
