Even with that, there's very little point to be talking about frame rates when the optimization phase haven't even begun yet.

Its an actual alpha, which means not being in feature complete status and all that brings with it. The game is largely at a state were if done by a publisher the general public would have no insight whatsoever, there's a lot of misconceptions going around on the internet about how game development works, even more so when its being compared to titles made by established teams that hit the ground running so to speak.

Even then what star citizen is doing isn't normal. Its being polished far more than what an inhouse alpha would be.

the game foundation is wrong, the engine picked is wrong, even if they finish it somehow it will be an unplayable garbage
So some more numbers out of your ass. May as well just call you AssRo from now on.

It's a game interface, of course it's going to run smoothly in a browser and is likely going to be as fun as garrisons were in the long run. You get sick of it relatively fast, because it actually pulls you out of the fun parts of the game - every single time you want to travel between solar systems.
Oh, if it's just a game interface in a browser, then I'd like to see you make something similar.

Sweet mother of logic. "If you don't buy a ship you want the game to fail"

Fancy videos and demos dont make a game nor does it mean it will come out, there were demos and articles and videos of starcraft ghost out the ass, but they canceled an almost fully built game.

Blizzard also has enough money to work on something for 7 years and then cancel it.

Christ this thread is one of the more toxic SC ones out there. Can't we just wait till it comes out before people start losing their minds that other people are spending money on this? Also where are the mods?

Just as absent as in the SC2 thread. Aiko showed up a couple pages ago acting as if the toxicity was new for some reason, then disappeared again.

People are allowed to express their doubts/skepticism about the game. Doing so is not breaking the rules. Report anyone you think it trolling or spamming and we look at it. There have been infractions handed out in this thread and we do watch it. But that doesn't mean that we're going to shut down any negative discussion, that's not what we do. If you're unhappy with how mods are doing our job in this thread, you can always PM a blue/red about it.

Yeah and I can give you a list of over 6000 games that all started with demos and articles and videos and did get released. It's called Steam.

Now that you finally have enough proof to stop calling it vaporware, you are still trying to down talk it. Seriously, stop coming here. Nobody wants you in this thread. Your claims are fallacious and outlandish and just plain annoying. What you're saying in here can be said for any game ever made. Projects are canceled all the time, but saying this won't get released because of something that happens over 10 years ago to a completely unrelated company is beyond restarted.

Starcraft ghost was never "almost fully built" It was also never officially canceled. It just kept being thrown from development team to development team until they finally decided that they had more important things to focus on.

Minimal research. That's all it takes. Google for 2 fucking minutes and you won't look like such an ignorant twat.

Diablo III senior designer Matthew Burger has clarified the status of StarCraft: Ghost to Official PlayStation Magazine UK. When asked if the game was still in active development, Burger said "it’s on hold. It has never been cancelled."

When asked if StarCraft: Ghost might one day be released, Burger said "maybe."

Starcraft Ghost has actually pretty much been officially cancelled at this point though, that gamespot article is from 2013 but this was said by Morhaime in 2014 when talking about Titan being put on ice/cancelled.

Morhaime agreed: "It's always really, really hard to make those kind of decisions. It was hard when we canceled Warcraft Adventures. It was hard when we canceled StarCraft Ghost.

Nice find. I didn't see that article. All I could find was a bunch of articles saying it was on hold.

Still not really all that relevant to Star Citizen.

Nice gameplay video, I don't think anyone here posted the live version.

At 23:07 CR said(pertaining to the release date of Alpha 2.0) "I don't want to give you dates because everyone gives me shit for giving you dates, so let me say it's in the near future."

This thread is bullshit, unsubbing, hopefully the game comes out, I don't see any evidence why it wouldn't but that doesn't stop people bashing it constantly, whats the point in having a thread about a game if all its going to be is baseless conjecture hating on it.

I don't see what Star Citizen does that Elite: Dangerous, No Man's Sky, Enemy Starfighter, Starpoint Gemini, or other space games don't do. There's nothing groundbreaking here.

Also the seperate modules don't seem to be integrating well together. Elite: Dangerous built a solid fountain and has been building it up with more features. Instead of trying to tie different and seperately developed features together.

Watched the S42 trailer and, well, at least Gary didn't phone it in as badly as Dinklage did for Destiny. Really hoping S42 delivers as well as the WC's did. Nice to hear Mark is going to be in S42 too.

Who had almost stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol.
And who had personally wet himself, at the Battle of Badon Hill.

Watching the SC Con and comparing with what I've played/seen of other space sims.

What do you think Star Citizen does that others don't?

Charge hundreds of dollars for ships?

I kid, I really want this game to succeed, hopefully the storm that the escapist started will drive their company to focus on finishing a few new feature sets to show off so we know they're actually doing something rather than just making the prettiest demo's possible.
