I’m still trying to figure out exactly who’s “dismissing data” or denying player/financial growth, because as far as I’m aware pointing out that Twitch/Youtube engagement is a poor metric for it doesn’t necessarily deny its existence, which is something that funnily enough even Kenn seems to be able to grasp.

Unless you really need the space on the disk, why even bother uninstalling? Just leave it be to hop on every now and then with every update to check it out like most people do. If you are looking for something more stable with a base progression system already in place, you should just seek alternatives until SC goes into a BETA version… although there aren’t that many to begin with, especially considering that Starfield just got delayed, still considering Bethesda track record I wouldn’t place much hope on it either.

yeah disk space is the problem. i have like 120gb free to use. i rotate between WoW, SC and other games that require SSD xd

Lmao vulkan will save performance? DLSS would save performance somewhat, but that is too hard for these failures to implement.

Thought about picking this up. Then I realized that the game still probably has several years to go before it's even close to finished. Watched some streams and noticed it's still very buggy and performance on these streamer rigs seems iffy. Doubt my 1070ti can handle it. Still, I have the itch to buy it.. I must resist.

I think the free flight event is still up, if you really want to give it a go without throwing cash at it.

first of all, my 5+ years old PC just cant handle this game well enough. nothing will help it.
second of all, consistent bugs. i tried to use cutlass black as its free during this event. it happened like 5 times i couldnt control direction of flight, had to leave the pilot seat and sit again that many times till it happened again when i got to port olisar. just fuck that shit

oh, and i couldnt use my cursor at all in the inventory window. it was just centered on my character all the time, so i couldnt change gear etc

The game is still very poorly optimized, so you need to overcompensate with hardware to get a decent frame rate.

Haven’t you heard? “As Star Citizen development continues the game gets more fleshed out more enjoyable”, the issue is we are just 10 years into development, therefore we still have some “alpha stage roughness” to deal with, don’t worry I’m sure it will get better Soon™.

That bug shows up on the video I posted last page, after launching the cursor gets stuck and he can’t control the damn thing =/

And my god, I hope we're not using the current time to gauge the amount of people the game has when there is a literally a free fly event until the end of the month going on. Just because I can play for free for a little while, doesn't mean I'm a paying customer.

Let's be fair, neither do you. All you do is react to negative comments with what can only be described as a poorly put together script that contradicts itself all the time. This thread is dead unless someone posts a negative comment and start posting things that are probably on bingo cards at this point. The most the thread sees otherwise is a video every now and then from MrAnderson, which is at least informative from time to time and worth the time spent watching. You? You have nothing but your bullshit reactions to other posts.

There are vanishingly few people in this thread that genuinely hope SC fails. Most people, myself included, hope it actually gets finished, has all the bells and whistles they've promised, has all the ships finally finished and in-game, and hopes the same for SQ42 (take Edge for example who recently bought in to experience the game). They're also just capable of seeing what a monumental shitshow development has been with CiG. Saying it hasn't had issues, or that developers always pick the best option for the game because they're the people working on it is beyond sycophancy. You hurt SC more than you ever help it with said sycophancy.

Personally, I haven't tried playing the game since about 2018/9, and I've seen nothing that has made me want to reinstall it any time soon. People like you especially don't help me want to do so if you're in any way indicative of the current community.
