    Patch 5.1 The Eye of the Storm

    I just saw the front page and seems to be a new item called The Eye of the Storm. It's name is red so it is an artifact (better quality than legenary). In the escription it says "This naaru crystal contains immense power".

    The Naaru are enemies of the Burning Legion.

    There's also a Black Templo Scenario which may or not be related.

    I'd like to see some theorycrafting on this

    Rumblings of a return of the Legion, a potential story hook that will lead to Illidan's resurrection, and potential ramifications for the campaign in MoP (if only because it's a scenario taking place during MoP).

    How do you know it's artifact quality? Artifact quality used to be beige, but then they made Heirlooms and gave the color to those.

    When they changed the beige from artifacts to heirlooms they made the artifacts red.

    This is simply more lore hooks into the possible return of the Burning Legion. The strongest one to date is still the little scripted scene you have with Wrathion, where he shows you what's going to happen soon, lots of infernals falling upon Azeroth and the world being engulfed in flames.

    We also have Metzen on record saying this expansion is like "a holiday before what's coming next".

    I believe there's also a twitter comment somewhere claiming Turalyon will be a part of the future of WoW.

    Also artifacts were red back in vanilla. They changed them to be gold / beige some time around patch 1.4 IIRC.

    They definitely had the heirloom beige colour at one point. Possibly just before Wrath.

    before they announced MoP i was almost certain the next expac after cata would be a Burning Legion themed one

    my reasoning was expacs have been Azeroth > Outland ala twisting nether > Northrend > Azeroth again >

    so i thought i saw a pattern here and thought 'ey BC expac next"

    Nice one.

    I'm expecting some like queen Azshara reopening the rift bellow the Maelstrom to free Sargeras and we get invaded by the Legion. Then we deafet them, we deal with Azshara and the old gods and then in the expansion after that we go through the rift ourself to take the fight to sargeras an kill'jaedan.

    Do you guys think I'm close enought? :P
