Please add 'like'/'upvote' button

Could we please get upvote/like button?
There are just so many times I'd like to express appreciation for someone's post (not necessarily the thread, but some post), and most people just solve it by quoting the post, and saying: This (10 chars)

Those types of empty posts would go away, and we'd have a simple way of giving our agreement to the post.

Even if all it is, is just a number (like facebook does), and doesn't actually prioritize its display in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Can you add like/dislike buttons to the forums?
A: It's possible that this might be added in the future. The biggest problem regarding this suggestion is simply how large the site is, and trying to find a way to make it work for us. There's no sort of ETA on it happening.

Yeah right, threads like 'Rate the avatar above you' end up getting 10000 votes but they don't they don't interest me in the slightest.
