However I've got to emphasize that everything will probably look bad graphics wise since it's a true Alpha. I think they want to get gameplay nailed down first before adding the shiny. The devs have said they're gonna roll out updates every two weeks once Alpha starts, but I'm still taking everything with a grain of salt obviously.
    As you should with Alphas.

It has everything that makes a good game and and alot of replayability due to the randomly generated maps. I don't mind bad graphics it's mostly because I'm interested in their artwork zombies specifically (I love everything to do with zombies), the concept art on the website looks great

The world is huge. They said we probably wouldn't even discover it all. Also, they plan on having the game look similar to one of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games.. Forgot which one, but it has good graphics. I just want to double what was already said. This is a true alpha.. Not every feature is in the game currently and the graphics are on the back burner. I hope people realize that and don't go "This game is shit" when they play it.

That I'm aware of, I'm most likely going to purchase it later today. I've been in 3 Alphas now and 9 Betas so I know what to expect I'm just curious on how they currently look and to see more of the in-game content as it is currently.

Hell yes, going ham with plungers will be one of the first things I do!

War Z flashlight wars will have nothing on the great Plunger Deathmatch of 2012!

I can't wait to see what the alpha is going to look like. They said on the forums and twitter that the zombies will be clothed and the houses will have furniture.

Here is a teaser screenshot of their barricading system. Doesn't look like much, nor does it look pretty, but I am very excited.

By the way. they are sending out the codes for the pre-download. Check you e-mail that you purchased on paypal with.

There's some alpha footage. Doesn't look like much at the moment, but alpha be alpha. I lol'd at the guy carrying a fridge around.

Their blog lists some of the issues that they're looking at. If you're on the fence about trying to get into alpha you might be better served to wait a couple weeks and see how the devs handle updating/fixing bugs. At least they clothed the zombies. lol

I'll probably download it and mess around for a bit tonight.

If you're looking for a complete game, you won't find it in The Dead Linger. This is a true alpha which means it's "gasp" actually an alpha. They're still maybe 6 months to 1 year before it's close to being finished product. So unless you are interested in helping the developers make this game by reporting bugs, I would recommend you wait on buying the game for at least another month. I myself have played it for a couple hours. Buggy, but I can see the potential in the game. I've been messing around with the furniture and have been just stacking everything I can find on top of each other. It's kind of like Amnesia, the part where you can interact with items.

I can already see the potential this game will have. lol

Time to make like the South Park kids and build a "Ladder to Heaven".

Just a new blog that outlines some of their ideas regarding how guns will work in TDL.

Build 003 is going to have denser forest.

The Secret World also has zombies, among other supernatural foes.

Just popping in with another update. I'm still waiting until the game is a little further along before I try it, but the devs seem to be constantly at work updating the game:

I like the design decisions they're making for it to be an actual zombie survival game, rather than a PvP oriented Call of Duty with some zombie sprinkled on top for flavor. Definitely going to keep an eye on this.

January 8th is another big patch where they're revamping the world generation: http://www.thedeadlinger.com/archives/1433 We'll be seeing new buildings arise, as well as new locations like farmland: http://imgur.com/a/ycQs0#0
