Best CPU Cooler Under $50? Socket 1155

Hey guys... I'm working on upgrading my system to an i5-3570kin a ASRock z77 Extreme 4, and I've been looking for a good cooler under like $50. I know the NH-D14 is the "best" right now, but I really can't see spending $90 on it, not to mention it is kind of ugly. Noise isn't a huge concern. Trying to fit this inside an Antec 900.

Are there any good coolers offering similar performance to the NH-D14 around $50? USA -Newegg/Amazon ok.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ is still the king for budget CPU coolers. Should be able to add a 2nd fan and still come out under $50.

The best coolers on the market, being Noctua and Phanteks, are only seperated from the mid range priced coolers by a couple to several degrees at most. It's not a wide gap to be honest. However, we get what we paid for.. in my case that was a massive cooler that shaved off those extra degrees.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is a good cooler.

Xigmatech Gaia is another solid cooler.

EDIT - My own opinion, go with the Hyper 212 Evo. The stock fan on it performs quite well.

Thanks for the info. I see there is the 212 plus and the 212 evo, and I can't quite tell the difference between the two. Any insight?

Ooh I like that one... good "benchmark" over the Noctua, for 59.99 at newegg. So now I can't decide between the Havik 140 and the 212 evo.
