    What happens to 'casino' players?

I know a guy on my server who had less than 1k gold 2 days ago and started doing casinos (where you invite people, make them place a bet and roll)
Now he has jewelcrafter mounts and 100k gold.

I know this is against blizzards rules but I don't think anything happens to them because I'm always seeing casino spam.

    What actually happens?

Casino guy always takes a 10% off the win. Oh and btw just report the guy--it is against the rules.
    Don't sweat the details!!!

It's against the rules. Blizzard doesn't condone gambling in a 12+ rated game, only consumption of alcoholic beverages.

i was actually under the impression casinos like that are allowed as long as they are private and kept out of public chats.

    EDIT

That's not how most casinos work.

What do you mean what happens, OP? Blizzard bans them sometimes, and other times they don't. I ran a casino on my server back in Wrath, made up to 400k (which was a lot bigger back then). The house always wins in the end, but people always keep playing.
Why am I back here, I don't even play these games anymore

The problem with the internet is parallel to its greatest achievement: it has given the little man an outlet where he can be heard. Most of the time however, the little man is a little man because he is not worth hearing.

Yep but you can't get customers without advertising it in the public channels.

And yes, that's the rule. That's the technicality that never got me banned when I was reported for it, but I was advised to stop.

No, but you can do it in PM.

Just like "leveling" guilds. The guildmaster gets all the gold that comes from Cash Flow perk, as well as guild tasks rewards but doesn't even have guild bank repairs on.

Was wondering why did my BadBoy addon say "Spam has been blocked. Click here to report it".

I don't see how they're similar other than the fact they both make gold for the guy in charge. Casinos make you money by chance, but the chances are always leaned towards the house. Leveling guilds just need a lot of people in the guild.

I mean, if all you get is a warning or 3 hour suspension and you get to keep the gold/items, why the hell not? I'd start doing it

Running a casino in-game is not against the rules. However, ANY advertising of the casino in-game or on the official forums will result in the person doing it being actioned.
when all else fails, read the STICKIES.

He is still playing even though I reported him 2 days ago, he told me he's up to 300k today.

I might start doing it rather than 'waste' time accruing gold legitimately.

That depends tho, i got told by a GM (after i asked) that if i /roll with gold with freinds its allright, and there is no hidden rules too, just if, lets say, i roll higher than my freind, i win, no mather how high the to gold is

Edit: and no advertise too ofc

It probably depends on the GM as well and what mood they are in at the time.
