Looking for a monitor

I've used a mac for years, and just ordered my computer build minus the monitor. So I'm looking for an adequate HD gaming monitor. Some of the specs are:

cpu-Intel i5-3570K
mobo-ASUS P8Z77-V LK
gpu-XFX 7850 Double D
hdd-Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black
ssd-OCZ 120 GB Vertex 3

My budget would be no more than $500.

I recommend 120hz monitor over IPS, especially Benq XL2420T, because i have one and 120 fps picture with no input lag is perfect, ofc still images will be better on IPS
