Deer hunting season 2012, disscusion / stories / bounty

The point of this thread is to discuss deer hunting topics in general, this season of deer hunting in specific. I would prefer arguments about morality of hunting out of this thread but I will be realistic and simply ask to keep it a minimum.

For me deer hunting is going great this season which is the first time in about 2-3 years. My party of four got two bucks already, both of them 5 point (broken antlers) and we saw deer at all but one of the locations we hunted at.

For the deer hunters out there, how is the season going for you?

    ya i got my firesuit

considering the last few years of zero plausible shoots, ya luck is on my side this year. Although this year is very similar to when I first started hunting at 12 years old, our party maxed out on deer that year and the year after.

I'm not hunting this season, but I've done a bit of spotting and always have deer in my yard. Had a nice 10 point yesterday, and I was rather tempted to shoot it, lol. I've seen a lot of nice bucks out in the hills while spotting. Few 12 points, quite a lot of 6-8, and even some higher ones. An uncountable number of doe, too.

...regretting that I chose to skip out on this season, now I'm really hungry for venison.

The nerve is called the "nerve of awareness". You cant dissect it. Its a current that runs up the center of your spine. I dont know if any of you have sat down, crossed your legs, smoked DMT, and watch what happens... but what happens to me is this big thing goes RRRRRRRRRAAAAAWWW! up my spine and flashes in my brain... well apparently thats whats going to happen if I do this stuff...

Yes of course, nothing wasted my family gets all the meat taken to a butcher and we eat it all / give away what we cant use.

edit: and of course those weren't shot this year, 1-2 deer a year is all we would ever consider taking. i just took the time to see a hunting thread to post some older pics of a few deer that have been taken.
