    HELP: Spirit Kings, 10-man normal

I would like to ask few things which will hopefully make getting the kill easier.

How many healers 2 or 3? On the first pull of him we tried 2 healing, Shaman and Paladin where healing. After a wipe, we asked the healers how was it and the Shaman thought that it would be the best for 3 healing. If we decide to try 2 healing which healers will be the best choice for the job? For tonight we have a selection from r. druid, r. shaman, h.pala. Possible another h.pala and maybe a d.priest (but those 2 are maybe only).

When would be best time to pop BL? The first Spirit is always the same, stack-in-front-and-face-tank-it guy. Using it on Meng is (as our warrior suggested) doesn't seem a reasonable idea as well, since if people get MC, they might accidentally kill someone. That leaves the Subetai and Zian.

When would be the best time for the warrior (fury) to pop his CD (we forgot that we had the rogue who could tricks -_-) as if he does so on pull our tank (paladin) can't keep aggro (and even when warrior has aggro he cant stop for few second to stop DPS) as he has not built up that much vengence to counter his DPS unless the tank pops all of his DPS CD as well, and even then it is hard (rest of the fight w/o CD warrior's performance imho is average DPS vise....)? When is the best time for skull banner or should he keep it on CD?

Which on of the 4 is the most DPS CD friendly? Qiang maybe? Or DPS should keep whichever they have on CD? Meng is bit of an exemption due to his ability to reflect damage back and MC, as we don't want people want to be oneshotted by someone.

what is the cause of your wipe?

    enrage? 2m heal it

too much raid dmg? 2m heal it and tell your dps to stop standing in shit.

tank loosing agro? tell him to use his dps CD's they dont matter against enrage timer.

?? Meng doesn't MC , he just turns ppl hostile. So just let 1-2 ppl do AOE and the rest continue dps boss and there is no worries .
My bet is using BL on the last one btw. It's always the trickiest.

MC guy only reflects your own damage, so others can't kill you.
CDs should be used on the pull and then whenever available(people should know if theres something they can wait for to get more out of them, of course). We always used BL after the first MC, because MC guy is the most annoying one(and we usually had him last). Only reason we waited for the first MC was that people had to stop DPS for a couple of seconds while me and the other tank handled the MC removal. Killing others with BL should never be something you should be worried about.

And number of healers, I'd say 2. On our first pull one of our healers died early(I think it was a Volley while rooted, bow guy being the 1st random one we got), and the other healer(resto druid) was able to soloheal everything until the first MC(MC guy was the last one). So if people avoid taking too much damage from avoidable stuff, 2 should easily be enough.

I think he means they might "accidentally" cleave eachother(which is easily solved by just halting DPS for a couple of seconds)

I almost solo healed it our very first pull ever, first week of raids being out. Got to fourth guy and died to enrage because a dps and a healer died to the first annhilate.

You should NEVER three heal this fight.

We always use BL on the first king, right after the the first AoE. I think we 3 heal it and there's plenty of time before enrage.

Edit: The amount of HPS put out by the 3 healers seem low enough that we can cut it to 2, but then we don't have DPS issues either.

2 Heals is more than enough. For our runs, we lust on Meng, as it is best to plow through him with him using least abilities as possible.

I would pop DPS CDs on Subetai or Zian, as the movement for them isn't a lot.

MC isn't so much as MC, as everyone is an enemy. Group up, dont use DoTs, and aoe them down.

Best way to deal with that Meng problem is, as stated, pop lust early, and get him down ASAP.

It seems like your loosing people to mechanics they should be avoiding. You should be able to 2 heal it if your dps can stay out of stuff, and pull slightly better dps. I think this was one of the bosses we one shot the first week. Avoiding dmg and maximizing your dps should make you guys get over this boss.

The whole fight is basically an awareness test, since so much shit is happening at once.

Also, don't know what spec your warlock is, but as demo the MC stuff is a joke. Meta + hellfire and continue to dps.

Yes, I meant under the MC that people are hostile to each other. We had the issue where some triggerhappy DPSers killed few people, but after we assigned our mage and boomy to do mild DPS, it was better.

Waiting for the first MC and then BL sounds reasonable enough, since there just doesn't seem to be a good place to pop it.. Probably people were taking too much unneccessery damage for the 2-healers to handle. After several pulls we started taking less damage as people managed to avoid things.

    Our lock is affi/detrso.

If DPS is an issue, definitely use BL on the first. That will push out so much more DPS than using it any other phase where there are more stuff to avoid.

We always 2 heal as we were like 28% off first try hitting erage with 3.

Far a hero goes we use on the demented guy just after he pulled. Good bulk of time were there is mainly only tank damage incoming so most dps can sit around and burn hard. The MC is a non issue as if everyone stacks ony 2sec of aoe and ur free with min raid dmg, the reflect dmg is only really dangous after 50%, so you have his tank damage phase and half reflect phase for all dps and hero to be used before dps have to watch killing themself.

As far as your paladin tank goes according to worl dof logs on your longest time (9.09) he used avenging wrath twice (if used on cd could of used around 4times.), one of a paladins tanks main dmg inceasing and thereforc tps increasing abilitys.
    also if this is him
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...indoun/Ralador

He is well under both hit and expertise cap, which is kinda vital on the tps side of things and the extra holy power for SoR will compasate a far bit towards any defense he lost. Also Excution setance (lvl 90 ability) is pretty good for extra tps so get him to try that. Looking at raid wise dps from same try there is no reason he should ever lose agro past the first 15sec~ of start of a fight.

Use avengers shield on cd (he used it 24times, if u assume it never procs and it does a lot he could of used 36 times. this in all likly is main bulk of treat issue)
Crusader strike and jugdement on CD
SoR when u have 3 holy power, not on gcd so can use at same time as another ability.

Worse case everyone in raid bar warrior can if needed drop agro, and u have 2 paladins with a hand of salv each for the warrior.

The issue is the pull and warrior (need to attach sticky to monitor with a note "tell rogue to tricks"), where the aggro goes poof. Rest of the fight his aggro is oke. And ye, that is him.

My guild 2 heals it with a holy pally and a resto shaman. We did have him sit this last kill though cause he didn't need anything off the boss. Had a second holy pally do the job for the parse.

We use personal dps cd's on each boss. Second pot on last boss. BL on either 3rd or 4th boss, depending on whichever the RL calls for. I think he likes to use it on the hunter guy with the volley. We have assigned aoe for breaking the mc's, fury war and spriest. We also only have 1 tank and have the melee stay on boss, range is the only ones killing adds. Melee will break pinned peo

    From the paladin:
He is "avoidance" reforged, cause of Gara'jal. He didn't do any reforging between the fights. He doesn't use execution sentence, cause the skill he uses, heals friendlies. 20 sec cd+extra healing cs more dmg on 1 min CD.... It would be good to use avenger shield, if you don't have run around and dodge things...

If its the burst at the start, tell him to wait 10sec before poping everything and when he does get a paladin to salv him, 2nd pala can salv 10sec later. Still with avenging wrath up if he sorted at least his hit can out should be able to hold it.

Hmm and i just relised he had same problem with Holy avenger, was cast 3 times over a 9min fight, which is only 1 off max but more importantly it wasnt used at the start of a fight which is where the tps problem is coming in. use that with avengers wrath, then crusader strike -> SoR -> judgment -> SoR and repeat while its up and he should generate a pretty insane amount of treat for them 18sec.
If you can get him to do that either something major wrong or your warrior is godly and the logs lie xD

Its ranged instant cast, it can be used on the move and only reqires him to be facing the same direction, no reason to not use on cd.

We found this boss to be very easy and our group isn't very good, we took ages to down the first 3 then killed spirit kings in only a few attempts.

First everyone stacks up and you pull the boss. Everyone stands in front of the boss, even melee because dps doesn't matter its an easy timer to beat. If you stand towards the front of the room you'll rarely have to dodge flanking orders. Just run through the boss and stack on the other side of him when he does shockwave.

Next it depends on what you get. If you get the MC guy, have everyone spread out loosely around the boss, and then run in just before he mc's. Any class with even a small amount of burst AoE will break the MC instantly on normal 10man. Dragon roar or something similar. Make sure you set up an interupt rotation for him so he doesn't spend too much time reflecting damage and have your damage dealers stop dpsing him entirely when he starts reflecting 80%+ damage. Depends on what ur healers can handle. We just kind of zerg it but its up to you.

If you get the archer guy again have everyone spread loosely around the boss. Move out of volleys, break out the people pinned by the arrow (only 1 should ever get this) and move out of his whirl wind before he disarms you. There is basically no damage in this phase that isn't avoidable, so if you're taking damage you're doing it wrong.

Lastly is the other caster. Just make sure you set up another interrupt rotation and kick everything he does. Ranged dps kill the skulls quickly.

We 2 heal this with shaman and paladin. You shouldn't have to min max this fight, all the mechanics should be one's you've seen before and they all involve either interrupting or standing in the right place, its not very hard. Enjoy Elegon when you get there, because that fight is tough.

EDIT: I should have looked at your logs first. Your numbers are very very very low. I'm not sure how you managed to get past the 3rd boss with dps that poor. Your damage dealers need to pick it up or you'll hit the enrage, not to mention that its always easier to move through the phases quicker.

3 healers is way over the top. It's completely possible to soloheal this boss.

Make sure you deal with the interupts, don't spread DoTs during the "MC", make sure you don't hit the boss too hard (or at all) during cowardice and watch for the abilities.

The warrior is a .... . Cause he doesn't wait, even when told to, or he waits too little time before popping everything. On pull he averages out 100-110k DPS (what he does the other time, who knows..., looking at his DPS) BTW should he be keeping the skull-banner up as much he can, as I don't see any banners most of the time around?

We stopped interrupting Meng when he had around 60% extra damage or so. The mechanics are idd easy, just people fail on the simplest things once in awhile. But hopefully we get things right tonight by 2 healing and well, avoiding what is meant to be avoided.

Also it was called out when to slow the DPS when he was reflecting damage.

We used a restodruid and holy paladin for it. And me (Feral druid) and a mage took care of the damage to the hostile people. All stacked up at boss, for swipe and arcane explosions spam. After that just don't stand in shit and it's easy.
