Does Blizzard delete accounts perm?

Hi! I know this really is a question for Blizzard rather than a fan community, but im curious as to what you guys think. Over the years iv added up with a few more wow accounts on my battle.net account than i use. Since i only use one nowadays i was wondering what you think my chances are for getting the inactive accounts deleted. I dont see any point in keeping them at all since i will never use them anymore. I started them because of raf way back. I dont want them unmerged with my battle.net account, no i just want them gone

Slim to none. Most tech companies will never fully delete anything for legal purposes. They might 'delete' them so that you can no longer see them, but they would almost definitely keep the information in their databases, just incase

If you want a account removed from your battlenet account call blizzzard they will take it off your battlenet but the account will always remain there for good.....you just won't see it hooked to your battlenet account.

I'm pretty sure they never delete your characters or account, not even if you're banned forever.

Ah thanks for the replys. I dont mind if they keep it aslong as its gone from my point of view. I just find it distracting and annoying to have more accounts to scroll through than i use I guess the best option is to call them rather than sending them a ticket.

Oh I see what you mean. Yes, you should be able to contact technical support and have them remove unused accounts. I did that with a PTR account I didn't want any more.

Actually, you can request that they purge all data for an account from the system entirely. It's a non-reversible action and any CD Keys attached to that account will be permanently disabled.

But still the account is there...along with any named characters...if the person wants a name of the unused account they have to request to have the name removed from the unused account so they can use it in another account. I had a name saved on a trial account just before MoP went live....but due to fact they changed how I could get into the trial account I was locked out of it after MoP went live...so I had to request though a ticket the name to be removed from the trial account to use it on my main account....

I dont see why Blizzard would care about what type of hairstyle your account uses. I mean, the perm may be a bit outdated but I think some can make it work.

I am pretty sure that you can call them to have the account unlinked from your Bnet account.

I started with sending them a ticket ( got different gm's responding every time during the follow up). The first gms told me they only needed my adress, security questions etc etc. Today i got a response from one that told me i needed to send them a letter (since im live in EU) i have to send it to france along with all the info + pictures of my id / driver license or passport. I dont mind doing this but i cannot since i have no way of printing these pictures. So i responded to them again saying i dont mind sending a letter with the info for security reasons but i have no way of actually printing the pictures. I hope they will just accept the fact that i can send them from my mail to them directly

This person is correct. It can be done if you send them postal mail.
