What would you expect the AVERAGE wow player clear in a raid for a season?

I've run into a bit of a snag on my old laptop, one I used for my older games. Sorry if this doesn't fit here in this forum, if it doesn't feel free to move it. It's a Dell Latitude D610 and one day, it froze up and I had to do a force shut down. Now when I start it up, it goes to a black screen with a blinking line up near the top right corner that doesn't let me do anything. Can't seem to figure out what the cause is, everything seemed to be fine the last time it was used, now it's refusing to even boot up Windows. Any advice?

Two things come to mind here:
1. Corrupted Windows system file (happens a lot in hard crashes).
2. MBR is corrupted.
