Another week another episode. I'll start by saying thank to everyone who supported liked and subbed. I got the go ahead to make this series a official you tube show. That would not be possible without the Rift fans so thank you for that.

I love Rift and I personally rate it as the best PvE mmo in both sub-based and F2P categories, but... a few concerns I have with Trion and their game.

Trion have become a bit better on telling us "what" to expect, but not so much "when" - pieces of info on specific estimates of release are usually just mentioned in arb interviews and not necessarily on the forums. Don't get me wrong - whenever I've had issues in-game, these guys are stellar.

In my opinion, the game seems to have a tendency to substitute real "content" for "grind" activities. Remember the balloon-popping Carnival of the dead fiasco? Those dailies? The Summerfest dailies? Be honest, Rift Players - how much diversity is there between one Great Hunt Rift and another? F--K ALL... I understand the need for grind to gate content, but jaysus...

Content is a pittance compared to Chocolate Rift. Raids are +/- 4~5 bosses only.

Graphic issues (glitches) - I've had no less than six computers since I started playing Rift and experienced glitches on all of them ( I own an IT company and get my techie to upgrade me +/- every 6 months or so) - including my current PC as well as my girlfriend's new Haswell 4th gen i5. Her machine's new CPU "does" run the game significantly better than even I expected with a 650ti 2gb video card. I was fortunate to have severe pop-ins and graphic glitches appear in this video - usually, it is not as prevalent as this and takes much longer to appear.

Performance, FPS, lack of 64 bit support, lack of multi-core support.

We've had graphic glitches, pop-in issues, poor performance for far too long now. We've been promised since about 1.5 or so that "they're working on optimizing it" - At this point, I sincerely doubt they are actually capable of fixing it. I would personally like some assurance that this finally going to get resolved.

Lack of adequate communication by Trion to appease and assure their customer base when staff lay-offs occur, the main "face" of Rift CM is just let go without adequate explanation. People jump boat and leave games when they see things like this happen. Concern with the upcoming adoption of archage. Trion does not have a good track record of managing multiple games at once - with their reduced staff, there is reason for concern.

In spite of this, for the moment, Rift is still my "go back to" mmo that I enjoy playing. I just want the game, the company... to be better.

Continuing the fun and Dimension love. I am back with 13 more dimensions all from the Shatterbone Shard. I'm noticing each shard has it's on style. I won't go as far as saying people are copying. But as I look through them all each server seems to influence it's populations imagination.

Guys, there's a difference between criticizing, expressing concerns ... to basically calling Trion underhanded and unethical ~ when they've still got the best F2P game model out there and some of the most helpful, friendly people too. Give Hartsman a chance.

Also covered this week the new hair styles. Some yay some nay some wtf is this. But it's all good customization is always welcome.

Rift is far from dude don't believe forum doomsdayers. I discuss that and why I still cover Rift.
Conquest 3.0 uh no just scrap it altogether. If the map isn't going to mean anything. Holding land should be more important then anything else. The purpose of a Conquest PVP is to conquest land. Not trample to it and leave it to be trampled by another. Just so you can trample back to it. That's just a swap meet.

Class balance/Hyrbids it can be done. But talents need to have dual meanings. And have things only activate, when used in certain builds.

So I decided to take on Necropolis for the next tour. It was suggested to me. Largely because the population is struggling. I don't know what I could do about that with this video. But when someone asks me nicely to help something. Or to show up on a shard I'm there. Now even though I didn't have a lot of good dimensions to see.

It was enough to be very entertaining. And even show me something I never seen before in all my housing videos. Which is why they say you play the game. Because you never know where remarkable ideas hide.

Thought I'd do another Rift vid - still suffering with incredible FPS drops - not sure if it's my xSplit recording software, but DAMN... it's sucky when I am near other people.
No settings seem to fix it either. May be due to Win 8.1 upgrade. It's never been this bad. I am running in Windowed mode as I am forced to do so due to xSplit.

The event itself is pretty boring and disappointing, but I go through the motions of showing it off a bit. My cat makes a fool of himself during the video.

First off I wanted to add a site you should look out for called "Rift Progress." I didn't get to add this one in my community post. So to make up for that they got the first 3 minutes of this post. This site lets you know who is the top progressing guilds. Nice things like World's Firsts and progression kills. Most guilds have website links so check them out.

The other half of this weeks episode. I took a look at if the times in queue went down overall. And I'm happy to report even in off hours queue times are down overall. Instant adventure actually looks a little like it's glory days. With added people joining in on it. PVP is almost instant queue at the moment. A lot more events are being done for now as well. However dungeon times from what I seen still are rather long. But at least now the queue will pop before you log for the night.

Originally I wasn't going to ever post this build. But I was convinced to do so by a event of bullying I witnessed on a minor. The kid asked me nicely and people flamed him in my favor. I felt bad stuff like that kids don't need. So I contacted him personally on Google and linked him the build video privately yesterday. Well people who are sneaky noticed the video sitting private on my channel lol...So here is said video and guide a long with it.

The Build

Souls involved in this build are something you maybe already comfortable.
Inquisitor 61 inq, Purifier 8 , and 7 Justicar

Which is the same set up as Holy Fire save swapping Shaman for Inquisitor. So you can use the same tactics with purifier and Justicar components. However things change with combining components of Inquisitor.

Really no reason once again to address the dps because frankly. Both of the side souls do nothing to the dps rotation. So you can check out the Holy Paladin 2.0 post. I discussed dps options there. The effect I was going for here just like Holy Fire was keeping all my fire power but adding survival. And allowing ourselves more fun and control over situations. Not needing to rely on anyone else but yourself. No pocket healer no pet all you all the time.

Pretty much because it has excellent scaling synergy you get 10% Spell Power in the Inq Tree, 10% Wisdom in Purifier and Jusitcar. Which gives you nice scaling as you get stronger. Doesn't mean go running off raiding with this. But you can if you were already OP to begin with. And you won't miss a beat. And have a way to survive encounters that would of otherwise killed you. You see me do that a lot in the example videos. Same goes for pvp let me explain that a little. You can make a you shall not pass macro with this build. That will do the following if you see fit

4 Damage Reflects, 3 Healing Effects, 2 Damage Shields. Use this cast Overload ,cast Judicial Privilege ,cast Symbol of the Torch and cast Healing Flare. You can add Consuming Flame if you like or leave it out. Also make a PVE version because overload does nothing to non pvp targets.

You have the ability to have two constant reflects of damage on enemies. With shroud of agony and Sign of wrath that procs off of healing flare. You can also throw on your pvp talent overload in pvp for a nasty 3 way damage on a enemy. That scares most unsuspecting targets into retreating. Those who don't run the risk of plainly killing themselves. You can throw on Judicial Priviledge and planar fire shield. You can do all of this in 2-3 seconds. This makes for a nice number light show you see I put on in the video. Makes you very tanky while being very bursty. Something very hard to accomplish in this game without nerfing something greatly. In this case dps isn't nerfed greatly it's 500 dps less then some max dps builds. As I said this build scales extremely well. Strong Clerics enter that deadly realm. Something we don't get to do a lot.

Purifier 8&Justicar 7

Nothing changes in tactics here from the holy fire guide
Ofcourse some advantage exist because you're now ranged and not melee. So things like keeping up Sign of Wrath is less painful. You can do that on the run planning a attack a lot easier. Bolt of Radiance can now be used as a chase combo easier as well.

Buffs too damn many.......

Sign of Wrath= When pulling Multiple mobs self cast your heal watch those numbers fly. Combine it with Shroud of Agony for a double damage reflect.

Caregivers Blessing= Causes single target healing and absorption spells to apply Caregiver's Blessing for 10s. Absorbs 246 damage. Lasts 1h.

Wisdom of the Ages= 70 wisdom scales well with the 3 trees buffs (Super Well Actually)

Spiritual Protection= Increases all Resistances by 65 on all party or raid members.

Armor of Awakening= Increases damage done by 10% and Critical Hit chance with damaging abilities by 10%. Lasts 1h.

Spiritual Scrutiny= Reduces the global cooldown of the Cleric's ranged damaging abilities by 0.5s, and their mana costs by 33%. Allows the Cleric's damaging abilities to ignore 20% of their targets' Armor and Resistance. Reduces the cast time of Bolt of Judgment by 1.5s and its damage by 20%. Lasts 1h.

Shroud of Agony= Grants a 20% chance when hit to deal 462 Death damage to up to 10 nearby enemies over 6s. Lasts 1h.

Flaring Sigil= 160 Spell Power you need tier 3 of planar fire attunement.

Conclusion

As most know I have been using this build a long time. It's tested and tested then tested again. It works it's fun it is what it is. In my opinion it's the most fun build I've come up with. And yes it was before Holy Fire but I didn't believe in it back then. So I scrapped it until a few patch changes. Literally changed my mind. Now it's what I use all the time.So enjoy that's the point see you next build 3.0 style.
