    Using old parts

So im looking at building myself a new pc around the holidays and i was wondering how easy it would be to use some of the parts from my old pc (a dell inspiron 570)

I plan on using the harddrive, disc drive (both of which should be easy enough from what i understand), the other part i wondered about was the power supply unit, would it be a good idea to try and reuse this?

My new build would have an i5 processor, geforce gtx660 and 8 gig of ram, not sure which of those is most importanat when looking at power usage?

Thanks for the help i know very little on this subject and ill be gratfull for every bit of advice

After a quick google search, according to this you have a 300w powersupply

You should be able to use your old HD and DVD drive as long as they are not IDE, I dont believe they are so you should be ok. As for the Power Supply you will need a new one.
