Is that really the entire list of Ultrabooks, or am I missing several variants?

I'm rather sad with the amount of utility and theories they have in it, and yet are still using that HD graphics chips that can barely run Windows 7 Aero with more than 10 active windowed processes. Was looking forward to possibly grabbing one when Black Friday comes for gaming / graphic design / Messiah animation, but now... <Sad face.>

I'll wait for the Microsoft Surface Pro. Should be working like an Ultrabook with the hardcase. Specs seem to be brutal


As to the original question. I don't know if this list is complete. My guess is no, it is just Intel's list of preferred Ultrabooks

The problem I have with the surface, is the specs for it arn't great for my course needs or hobbies >,< . (If they're the same as the EU specs.)

Don't have Windows 8 to verify, and I don't intend on getting Windows 8. Tempted to stay here on 7-N, or even <Cringe.> upgrade to Linux/Mac10.8.

While there are far fewer AMD ultrabook solutions available compared to Intel based machines, AMD's are miles ahead with their APUs.

Isnt this only true for the RT version? The pro version doesnt work like this as far as I know. It even says that it runs Win7 progs.

All ultrabooks with similar specs are around this pricerange.

ofc ultrabook isn't really suited for gaming/graphical work. (no quadcore/gpu)
unless a gt620m is enough for you then a ux32vd might be something. (laptops mix bad with gaming already let alone ultraboks which are mostly made for mobility anyway)
also that tablet looks interesting but i guess i prefer sticking to my ultrabook/desktop combination instead.
