    Thank you blizzard for Pandaren

I was in a newsagents today buying a magazine, and looking up at some of them such as sports mags, swim wear, gay times and celebrity magazines, all with super hot models and actors on the front, I had a pleasant realization.

For many years wow, wow seemed to have perpetuated the idealism of the perfect character, almost on a societal basis of perception as we see every single day, hot guys in shower gel ads, hot girls in perfume ads, and the general consensus of society in the modern, western culture, how you expect to look to be perfect.
This theme seemed to be generated in wow, with all characters, for whatever species they were, such as the muscled and powerful built orcs and tauren, to the perfectly formed humans and blood elves, and even the dwarves for there statue being developed. The whole thing seemed to throw the whole supermodel idealism into the game for all our races being perfect for there kind, no fat orcs or fat humans.

And then, pandaren came along, a race that prizes having a large belly, small paws and big dumpy cheeks. This to me did something new and unique.

As the wow playerbase is consist of so many different kinds of players, fat, thin, big, small, there only ever seemed to be reach to one side of, and, lets be honest, there are some players who are robust as pandaren irl, and yet there hasn't been a race until now that represented it.

Its refreshing, and I'm happy playing my big dumpy pandaren.

So you like that Blizzard keep lowering the bar to the Mariana Trench levels?

I think it's stretching to try and portray WoW's intentionally roughneck beefcake meatheads as idealized or perfect. But it is nice to have a dumpier option with Pandaren.

I love my panda girl. As an older woman who's getting a little bit round about the middle in my middle age, it tickles me a bit to have a character who actually looks like a fuzzy lil' me, right down to the grey streaks in her hair. =D
When asked about the role of women in video games, Samus Aran said, "..." - and then she blew up the planet. AGAIN.

I agree. They should add Demon Hunters as blind a blind class next.

He's one of those grimdark emo kids that hates Pandaren because they're "childish". Just ignore him.

The bar that keeps people from turning in to hacks who are proud that they are fat and stupid.

They are in actuality childish due to social-media culture and unfit for WoW. Everything is off about Pandaria.

I gotta agree...I play a pandaren purely because their facial models are so far ahead of all of the old, outdated models. It's refreshing to see in game.

The first time I played her I was struck with how similar the body shape was to a female dwarf model, however I've grown used to it. I haven't had much chance to see any other class animations but monk animations flow very well with the pandaren body and make them look graceful instead of dumpy.

I also giggled when I read the quest text for this quest http://www.wowhead.com/quest=30479/a-gift-for-gina (Have you seen Gina Mudclaw, the market girl? She has it all - looks, brains, and nice big tummy. Could you deliver a gift for me?)

    Pandaren are awesome. :P

Belf males are the closest you can get to a supermodel in wow, and they are notoriously unpopular.

i hoped that this idiotic idea had finally faded off from the forums, but it seems that some people really cant get around their extreme narrowness of mind
