My new computer.

Hey I'm really wanting a new computer to play WoW and what not on the web. Currently i have a lap top that i have to run WoW on all low settings and i frequently get disconnected. I am wanting a good desktop for 650-850 dollars. I honestly know NOTHING about computers but i know me and my bud can at least figure out how to put one together. Problem lies in not having a clue what parts i need and what parts are good. Was wondering if anyone could help me out, Maybe put a list of parts together for the price range that could easily run WoW on high settings. I know Black Friday is coming up so i figure now is a great time to get this computer dream into reality. I already have a keyboard, mouse, and moniter. I also have a very basic and ugly square case but i wouldn't mind replacing if the budget allows it without sacrifice.

Phenom is outdated and old, not bad by any means, but it's outdated.
750W is completely overkill for a system that won't draw more than 420w
I wouldn't pick a close loop liquid cooler at that budget, the standard cooler is enough even with a slight overclock.

You still have a bit of room to get a better CPU and GPU. I would replace the mobo with a Z77 Extreme4 from Asrock, and an i5 3570k. Then bump your GPU up to a 7850, replace your PSU with something much cheaper, since you don't need that sort of wattage. You also need an HDD, by the look of it. You could also look into a better heatsink for your CPU, but since you probably won't be overclocking soon the stock one should be alright. This would be my suggested alternative if you want to stretch your budget nearer to its limit, inux's should be fine if you want to keep spending a bit on the lower side:

Yup for sure, A friend of mine actually says he has a hard drive with windows already installed he could give to me. So as long as it fits with the parts these others have listed I should be good to go its a 500gb hard drive other then that i don't got much info. on it yet.

Unlike builds above, the price includes Windows 8 and a 7870 instead of a 7850. The only downside is that the card is cooled via single fan impeller.

they are not talking about the actual hard-drive but the windows installation. You can use a old hard drive but need to install windows again for best performance. Else there will be driver issues even if it does not crash on booting.

actually, is there a way to wipe everything off the hard drive then? Still buy windows to re install on it sort of deal, but saving the 50$ i would have used on a new hard drive, or would it just be safer/smarter to go with all new?
