Honestly, I would forecast a large demand of Hostess products right now.

Meh, come up to Canada. Most of their products here (except twinkies and a few others) are actually made by a different Canadian company, which will probably continue as before.

I was thinking the same thing at first but there is a good chance the company's name will be bought and someone else will be making twinkies.

Little Debbie Nutty Bars > anything Hostess ever made.

Almost anything by Little Debbie is way better and cheaper than the Hostess counterpart.

Just right wing flailers.........so yea same thing.

If I were to say something like left wing window lickers that kinda goes the other way, just as an illustration.

No, he made a quick jab at the right wing flailers, but blamed the failure of the company on mismanagement and changing consumer demand, which has nothing to do with either left or right wing.

Anyway, what is the point of going on strike to you force your own company to liquidate and loss your job? Negotiation is there for a reason.

The organizers of this union obviously aren't very bright. Their country is in a recession. They make snack food. Junk food (one of the first things to go during hard times). The company had already filed for bankruptcy in 2004, and had again Jan 2012. There were still in the process of financial restructing (the 2004 bankruptcy restructuring took "4 1/2 years").

You don't need 20/20 hindsight to see this was a bad idea.

Sounded like the Teamsters were very unhappy with what the Bakers union did as well.

I am from England, and what does a Twinkie taste like?

I remember Woody Harrilson had an obsession with them in the film Zombieland, and I've wanted one ever since.

Ironically enough, I was in Greece back in the 2011 riots, and I can say that it's the most fun and excitement I've had on vacation. This sounds fun if the U.S. follows that path!

To be honest? It tastes like sugar and vanilla cream...

Bad quality vanilla cake stuffed with too much vanilla cream. Swiss Cake Rolls are so much better. The quality of cake is better, than the cream is broken up more. The one huge abscess of cream in a Twinkie is just too much.

My only problem with Swiss Cake Rolls is that the chocolate falls off the sides.

I'm pretty much OK with that. I used to always eat most of the side-chocolate first before moving on to the cake itself. There ends up being a ceremony to the experience that's absent with Ho Hos because their chocolate is more secure.

I always get the chocolate that is stuck to the cardboard base too. Can't forget to eat that.

I wonder what those bakers will do now...
