Well then I guess definitely avoid him because SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER.

Yeah, he's making progress. Except the game just crashed on him. First time I have seen it crash for anyone though, and it's probably because he alt tabbed to do some stream stuff while his ship was flying to another planet.

Yeah it's still climbing fairly quickly whenever i check it, wont be long before it reaches 2.5 for me anyways.. It's awesome to see them doing so well already.

I broke down and pre-ordered after watching the launch video. Was already somewhat interested in the game, but the video really showed off what I was looking for: A bit more structure, and a much nicer interface, than Terreria. While I like Terreria, I just couldn't get into it in the long-term. Will hopefully be home by the time the beta releases.

If you pre-ordered check your Humble page and your key might already be there. I got mine and activated in Steam but the game still doesn't show up.

Got to be honest, I didn't really get into Terraria all that much, but I've pre-ordered Starbound and I'm going to give it a go. Maybe if I find a few people to play with I'll get into it, we'll see. With 2.5 million pre-orders I'm hoping someone out there will play with me :P

never played either, but how does multiplayer work? is there servers you can join, or a way of finding people? or do you have to invite people to your own game from steam?

If it's anything like Terraria was, it'll mostly just be privately hosted servers, think like Minecraft.

Steam dun goofed, they didn't have the game actually loaded up for the 10 AM launch, grrrrr. WELL. I'll just shoot things in BF4 until the time arrives!

I believe that there are some in-game hosting tools, but no assurance they'll be in the progenitor beta stage, obviously...

Well in Terraria you hosted the game on your own PC then gave friends your IP address and they connected to your game and you played together that way. I assumed it would be the same, standard self-hosted.
