Malfurion vs Illidan. IF Illidan does get redeemed, their is a chance something like this could happen. However, due to their personal conflicts, opposite approaches to a solution, and of course 10,000 years of bad blood would make a quick duel(similar to Thrall vs Garrosh) an amazing way to see some progression with the Night Elves storyline.

I came here to post this matchup. For a long time Malfurion was *the guy*, he was the strongest mortal around but Thrall has been steadily gaining power and it would be interesting to see which one of them is the top dog now .

I think it would be pretty close, but Malfurion would win in the end.

As forementioned Gul'dan vs Thrall. Most powerful mortal shaman to ever existed against his warlock counter part. Plus Thrall as well as pretty much all orcs (probably even Garrosh) regard Gul'dan as the anti christ of orcs and the sheet awesomeness of the fight would break the planet apart.
