    Lag Spikes / Choppy Delay

So I've noticed when I get in large 25+ player raids / bg's I suffer from sporadic lag spikes or choppy delays. It is basically like my game freezes for .5 secs and continues like normal and will do this every 4 - 5 secs. I am unsure whether this is an internet / computer or game issue. I have tried to include more specific information below. I normally have between 40 -60 ms world and home.

Game : WoW, run on 'Good' Video setting defaults.
CPU : Intel i7 with 6g of Ram
    Operating System : Windows 7 64 bit
    Connection : http://www.pingtest.net/result/72490466.png

I am wondering if there is any way I can improve this, I honestly don't feel it's a connection problem as my ms never kicks up which makes me wonder is it a computer or actual game problem. I would be happy to include any other info required in order to better figure out my issues.

Edit 1 : I have also tried disabling all addons and the problem remains.
Edit 2 : I also run Norton antivirus as well as utilities and all virus / malware scans have come up neg. Registry errors fixed etc.

What video card do you have? I would like a full system spec so I can see if there are any obvious sinners but to me it sounds like you are having issues with too little Ram or a PSU that is about to say night night. But, can't tell unless we get a full system spec and preferably a dxdiag added to your spec.

Do you have a wireless or cabled connection to your broadband router? I experienced something similar while running a wireless connection, swapping to a cable solved it. Worth checking out if you are running wifi.

    No, should I enable this?

Nah, enabling it normally causes a choppy response so thought that may be a reason why. Your computer physically shouldn't have any problems, especially at good.

Is this a recent problem, or has it always been this way?

Recent as you can tell it is a laptop and I hook it up to my 51'' tv and play with a wireless mouse and keyboard... I'm wondering if I need to find a better spot for the computer to cool down, sometimes I can hear the fan really working hard.

Have you tried it on all low settings to see? If it runs fine then it's likely its your GFX card either getting to hot or dodgy

Turned all to low setting and problem remained still sporadic .5 sec pauses of both display and sound. It is like the game freezes for .5 secs then resumes just fine.
