Diana or Jayce?

Hello folks

I play a lot of top, but want to move a bit more into mid/ad carry for more game knowledge, as I just reached 6,4k IP, I would like to know what you would suggest for my next champion: Jayce or Diana?

I'm looking for personal experience, smart mechanics to use etc.

So tell me why you like/dislike either of the two

(I know Jayce isn't very good as ADC, but he can be another top for me, what I mainly look for is a fun solid champion)

Jayce -IF- not banned is mostly a solo-top, so Diana, but she is banned often on high Elo.

You can't go wrong with Ezreal, Karthus, Kata or Anivia, i love those.

Jayce is a better top, but I would argue Diana is a stronger pick overall. Very strong mid (as showcased in many recent tournaments like Tales of the Lane) and a decent Jungler (level 6 ganks become ridiculous. The range and damage of Akali with the utility and ability to slow for the entire team). She can top also, as shown by Voyboy, but I'm not really a fan. No escapes in top lane generally ends up poorly.
