    Eyefinity need help

    Hello

I am currently trying to setup a triple monitor setup running eyefinity for BF3/GW2/several other titles (games aren't a concern, I am also not bothered atm about having to run them in medium/high graphics rather than ultra)

My plan is this I will have the following monitors

2x24" HD monitors with HDMI, DVI-D ports and 1 24" monitor with a VGA port only (I will replace this at a later date several months down the line as its not a bad screen even though it is analog)

    The card I am buying is a 2GB DDR5 7850, I have 2 choices get a card with 2 DVI-I, 1 HDMI and 1 mini-DP or get a card (which is more likely) with 1 HDMI, 1 DVI-I and 2 mini-DP.

On the card with HDMI, DVI-I 2x MDP ports what cables will I need, I already have 1 VGA-VGA, 1 HDMI-DVI and 1 VGA-DVI what converters will I need to mix in without breaking the bank and will the analog monitor function with the 2 HD's running eyefinity (although not look perfect)

    Hope this makes sense

You will need one of the monitors running off of DisplayPort. So I suggest that if you don't intend to buy a monitor with a DisplayPort, you need to get an active displayport to DVI-adapter. And one from mDP to DP.

I will need both MDP to DP? and then DP to DVI? is there no mDP to DVI active connectors I can buy? would this work as 1 cable instead of 2? http://www.ebuyer.com/340944-mini-di...apter-mdp2dvis

most active adapters are mDP to DVI, the only active DP-DVI adapters that i have seen came bundled with a workstation gpu

Yes, that will work. I had not seen a mDP to DVI active adapter before. Odd.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814999032 ,Thats the one I used for my eyefinity worked fine with 2X24 dell monitors and 1x24 acer flawlessly. 5760x1080 resolution. But for that connector you would need a video card with a display port not mini dp. Its cheap and worked fine that's all I needed lol.
