Light of the Cosmos vs Essence of Terror am I missing something?

Light of the Cosmos has a 45 second ICD.

Essence of Terror has a 105 second ICD.

They're otherwise similar. Isn't Light of the Cosmos going to be better despite the lower ilvl due to it being up more than twice as often?

Essence of Terror also gives over twice as many stat points on the proc.

Doubling of secondary stats is for gems only.


That's not to say LotC isn't better, but that's what you're missing.

Well, a lower ICD one is easier to line up with procs, such as Combustion for more damage.

That is not even including that the 45 second ICD lines up nicely with Combustion, glyphed or not.... Certainly worth waiting a second or two for that seriously nice 3236 intellect

It's always spec related.

Actually, LoC is pretty good for Fire but poor for Frost. It's the reverse for EoT.

But ICD isn't all, there's also proc chance, making 50s/110s more realistic CD.
Personnaly, I'm curious if Trinket proc will be adapted to a PPM type proc.
