Anyone remember seeing them? Do you really think some of those celebrities play WoW? I'm curious to know if there are celebrities that play the game.

I'm pretty sure most of those celebrities were just paid actors, but I do remember 1 of them did actually play back in TBC.
Yes. No.
While some celebrities do play wow, most if not all of these do not. They are just paid for, kind of like the way cheryl cole probably doesn't orgasm everytime she opens a bottle of L'oreal like she does on the advert
Once after watching Ozzy Osbourne's (relatively awesome) commercial spot, I thought of what would probably happen if Ozzy actually tried WoW, what with all of the fans that probably thought it sounded great he played.
-Rolls a warrior or a warlock probably.
-Has the mouse-handling skills of any other 60 year old who was too busy being "cool" when "cool" had nothing to do with computers.
-Runs into a few people leveling alts while asking for help with group quests who disparage him and his silly questions. Meanwhile Ozzy is wonderin who the hell these people are.
-Ozzy. Sitting at a computer. Thinking aloud, "I used to be a god! A god, Sharon!"
-Few months goes by. He doesn't really play, but then he gets a call... and Ozzy's a good guy, right?
Then he sprays thousands of unreactive people with a lower pressure fire hose at Blizzcon and realizes how many nerds there really are wearing black, metal T-shirts versus actual concert going types.
Then he doesn't really have anything else to do to keep him sane between making records for fun, but it's not like the game itself is exactly "fun." Probably quits after a while. Well, I still think he's earned a good spot in cultural history.

It depends on what you class play as as well i guess, while some may have tried the game and others may have just been payed, i have a feeling some of them actualy played it, maybe none of them have ever got to level 10 though.
Really it's one of those things that if you look into it you'll find out, i wouldn't say they wouldn't have tried it, the actors they hired aren't air heads so i think they may have played at one time or another. Of course some may have never even touched the game.
Adult Swim always had them.
I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Ozzy at least actually does, or at least did, play. I can't speak for the others, but either way it wouldn't surprise me.
-Edit: Looks like we can mark Ozzy as having played, at the very least http://www.ozzy.com/us/photos/wow

Nostalgia is the hollow remnants of memories long gone.

"All the World of Warcraft commercial stars, such as Mr T, Verne Troyer, and William Shatner play.
David Henry (Actor), Dave Chapelle (Actor/Comedian), Robin Williams (Actor/Comedian), Vin Diesel (Actor), Cameron Diaz (Actress), Jon Luvelli (Rapper/Music Mogul), Felicia Day (Actress), Ozzy Osbourne (Rock Star), Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, (Wrestler/Actor), Kanye West (Rapper), Hulk Hogan (Wrestler) , Ben Affleck (Actor), Mia Rose (Porn Actress), Jessica Simpson(Singer),Mila Kunis (Actress -That 70s Show), Macaulay Culkin (Actor), Jonathan Davis (musician- Korn) and George"Corpsegrinder" Fisher (musician- Cannibal Corpse) also play WoW. Curt Schilling (Red Sox)
All of the band members of "My Chemical Romance" play World of Warcraft also.
I knew Ozzy and Mia Rose played. Also I remember some speculation that the 'How I met your Mother' crew had an episode made where Ted meets a girl in WoW because several of the crew both on and off stage played WoW and thought it could be a fun idea. Not sure if it's true they made an episode like that but maybe a sitcom buff knows? =)
