I prefer beer (not a big wine person) but neither is "better." It's just a taste preference.

They're both delightful and should both be enjoyed by everyone!

That said, I'm more of a beer person. I like the greater diversity and lower prices. Wine's great though.

Neither, a good single malt scotch wins hands down

    Both are awesome.

On the wine side I highly prefer reds, though there are some excellent whites.
On the beer side, I highly prefer stouts, porters, IPAs, and ales. Lagers are boring. So are Pilsners.

Wuss drink for snobs vs wuss drink for the untamed masses. I'm going with the untamed masses.
"Gamer" is not a bad word. I identify as a gamer. When calling out those who persecute and harass, the word you're looking for is "asshole." @_DonAdams

Nitpicks, I have them! Everything listed in that first group fall under the overall heading of "ale". Also, pilsners are lagers.

Have you tried any good dopplebocks? They're made with lager strains and are generally not boring. Also, if you like smoky tastes, rauchbiers are fantastic, particularly with BBQ.

    Wine.
Never really liked the taste of beer, no matter how many times I tried - it just tastes awful.

Beer for sure, but I haven't tried much wine. Of the ones I have tried though, I haven't found one I liked at all.

Wine, always been my favourite. Can't drink anymore myself though, so it's sideline commentating

Sums up my thoughts on beer.

I prefer beer to wine. I only drink wine at holiday dinners.
