Thoughts on a monitor

I was looking at getting a new monitor for Christmas and wasn't too sure what to get exactly. I'd like a nice monitor, but also one that would do well if I hooked my Xbox up to it. I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009440 or perhaps http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236174 since 24" seems to be a good size. What do you guys think? I appreciate the help and your reasoning would be good, as I'd like to become more informed in the realm of computers

Both are standard run of the mill average TN-monitors.
Both would serve you the same.
Pick either, either would be fine really. One has HDMI (the latter), so that might be preferrable.
