Depends on if you need the spirit or not imo. If you are going to fill the gem socket, then the scepter is superior in every way. If you aren't, and the spirit isn't needed, stick with the wand. It's up to you and your playstyle to decide.

I agree this is exactly what I thought. I do plan on putting the gem in it, maybe I will use it till the gem in the raidfinder weapon.

Don't forget it cost 10k to get a new sha gem. So be sure you are going to use that LFR weapon for a while if you stick with it.
